Product Description
Yile Machinery manufactures robust and reliable cast iron double sprockets, also known as duplex sprockets. These components are essential for drive systems that require synchronized power transmission to two separate chains from a single drive shaft.
Our cast iron double sprockets offer a durable and cost-effective solution for a wide range of industrial applications, particularly in conveyor systems and material handling equipment.
A double sprocket features two sets of teeth machined side-by-side on a single hub. When installed on a drive shaft, it can engage with two separate strands of roller chain simultaneously. This ensures that both chains move at the exact same speed and in perfect unison.
This synchronized motion is critical for applications such as:
Driving wide conveyor belts or slats that require support and power from both sides.
Powering two parallel-running mechanisms from a single motor and gearbox.
Synchronized Power Transmission: The core benefit. Guarantees that two chains operate in perfect coordination, preventing twisting or uneven movement of the driven load.
High Strength & Durability: Made from high-grade cast iron, which provides excellent compressive strength and rigidity for handling heavy loads.
Excellent Vibration Damping: Cast iron naturally dampens vibrations in the drive system, leading to smoother, quieter operation and reduced wear on other components.
Cost-Effective Solution: For many moderate-speed, high-load applications, cast iron provides a highly economical alternative to more expensive steel sprockets.
Good Wear Resistance: The graphite structure in cast iron offers natural lubricity, contributing to good wear life in properly maintained systems.
Our commitment to quality ensures long-lasting performance in your machinery.
Material: We use high-grade Gray Cast Iron (e.g., HT250 / GG25) , known for its excellent strength, machinability, and vibration-damping characteristics.
Precision Machining: Each sprocket is precision cast and then machined to tight tolerances. The bore, keyway, and teeth profiles are cut to ensure a perfect fit on the shaft and smooth engagement with the roller chain.
Sprocket Types: We manufacture standard Type B (hub on one side) and Type C (hubs on both sides) sprockets, and can also produce custom designs based on your drawings.
Cast iron double sprockets are a reliable choice for a variety of industries:
Conveyor Systems: Wide belt conveyors, slat conveyors, and chain-driven live roller (CDLR) conveyors.
Agricultural Machinery: Harvesters, combines, balers, and sorting equipment.
Packaging Equipment: Synchronized transfer and indexing systems.
Food Processing Lines: Driving wide mesh belts for baking or cooling.
Industrial Mixers and Blenders: Powering dual mixing shafts.
