Product Description
Yile Machinery is a leading foundry specializing in the production of high-quality Ductile Iron Ball Valve Bodies. Also known as Nodular Cast Iron, this material offers the strength and ductility approaching that of steel, combined with the excellent castability of iron.
Our valve bodies serve as the primary pressure-containing housing for ball valves used in demanding industries. We provide both raw castings and fully machined, ready-to-assemble valve bodies to OEM valve manufacturers and project contractors worldwide.
Superior Material Properties: We use high-grade Ductile Iron (e.g., ASTM A536 Grade 65-45-12) , which provides excellent tensile strength, impact resistance, and ductility, making it a reliable choice for pressurized systems and a safer alternative to standard grey cast iron.
Leak-Proof Casting Integrity: Our casting process, whether Green Sand for high volume or Resin Sand for complex designs, is optimized to produce dense, pressure-tight castings, minimizing the risk of porosity and future leaks.
Precision CNC Machining: We offer a complete manufacturing solution. Our capabilities include precision machining of flange faces, internal bores, and stem areas to meet your exact dimensional and geometric tolerances.
Fully Customizable (OEM): As a direct foundry, we produce custom valve bodies based on your technical drawings and specifications. We can accommodate various designs, including split body, top entry, and trunnion ball valve bodies.

Our Ductile Iron Valve Bodies are widely used in fluid control systems across various sectors:
Water & Wastewater Treatment: Durable and corrosion-resistant for municipal water lines.
HVAC & Fire Protection Systems: Reliable performance for commercial building services.
Oil & Gas (General Service): Cost-effective solution for low-pressure applications.
Chemical Processing: Suitable for a range of non-corrosive media.
Marine Applications: Excellent strength for shipbuilding requirements.
Foundry-Direct Advantage: By working directly with us, you eliminate middlemen, ensuring competitive pricing and clear communication.
Strict Quality Control: Every batch of molten iron is tested for chemical composition. We can perform hydrostatic testing on machined bodies to guarantee they are leak-free.
Material Expertise: We understand the nuances of Nodular Cast Iron and can recommend the right grade and heat treatment for your pressure and temperature requirements.
Q: Why use Ductile Iron for a valve body instead of Grey Cast Iron?
A: Ductile Iron has significantly higher tensile strength and ductility. It can bend under pressure without fracturing, making it much safer for pressurized applications where the brittleness of grey iron would be a risk.
Q: Do you supply fully machined valve bodies?
A: Yes. We are a one-stop shop. We can deliver the ball valve body fully machined with finished flanges and bores, ready for your assembly line.
Q: Can you provide material certificates?
A: Absolutely. We can provide a material certificate compliant with EN 10204 3.1, which includes details of the chemical analysis and mechanical test results for your specific casting batch.
