This high-tensile, high-toughness alloy steel is the material of choice for gears subjected to heavy dynamic loads. Its excellent hardenability allows for a deep and uniform hardness through the gear body, providing exceptional strength and resistance to wear and impact.
Other Available Alloys: We also manufacture gears from a wide range of certified materials, including 42CrMo (AISI 4140) , 34CrNiMo6, and other carbon and alloy steels to meet your specific application requirements.
We manage the entire manufacturing process to ensure uncompromising quality.
Material Sourcing & Forging: We begin with certified alloy steel, typically in the form of a forged blank. Forging provides a superior grain structure for maximum strength and fatigue life, which is essential for large, critical gears.
CNC Machining: The forged blank is rough and finish machined on heavy-duty CNC lathes and milling centers to precise dimensions.
Large-Scale Gear Hobbing: Using our specialized large-diameter gear hobbing machines, we cut the helical teeth with precise control over the helix angle, tooth profile, and lead.
Advanced Heat Treatment: The gear undergoes a controlled Quenching and Tempering (Q&T) process to achieve the specified core hardness and toughness required by the engineering drawing.
Precision Gear Grinding: For applications requiring the highest accuracy and quietest operation, we perform finish grinding on the gear teeth after heat treatment. This ensures an optimal surface finish and perfect tooth geometry.
