Product Description

Engineered for Maximum Wear Life in Mining & Cement Applications

Yile Machinery is a specialist foundry for the production of critical wear components for the mining, cement, and aggregate industries. We manufacture custom-engineered grinding mill heads, shell liners, and grate plates designed to withstand the most extreme abrasion and impact conditions.

Our focus is on delivering superior wear life and mechanical reliability, helping you reduce downtime, lower your cost-per-ton, and maximize the productivity of your grinding circuits.

Engineered for Extreme Abrasion: Mill Heads & Wear Liners

A grinding mill head assembly is a two-component system, and we are experts in producing both parts to work together seamlessly.

  1. Mill Heads (Feed & Discharge Ends):

    • Function: This is the primary structural component of the mill end. It must have excellent toughness and fatigue resistance to support the rotating load.

    • Material: Typically manufactured from high-strength Alloy Cast Steel (e.g., ZG25CrMo) , which is heat-treated to optimize its strength and ductility.

  2. Mill Liners (Shell Liners, Head Liners, Grate Plates):

    • Function: These are the sacrificial wear surfaces that protect the structural mill shell and heads. Their design and material composition are critical for grinding efficiency and service life.

    • Materials: We cast liners from world-class wear-resistant alloys:

      • High-Chrome White Iron (e.g., Cr15, Cr20, Cr26): Offers the ultimate in abrasion resistance, ideal for fine grinding applications in ball mills and cement mills.

      • Austenitic Manganese Steel (e.g., Mn13, Mn18): A unique material that work-hardens under impact. It is the preferred choice for primary crushers and SAG/AG mills where large feed size creates extreme impact forces.

Manufacturing Excellence for Maximum Mill Uptime

Our integrated manufacturing process is designed to produce sound, reliable castings that fit perfectly every time.

  1. Advanced Foundry & Molding: We utilize a resin sand casting process and advanced simulation software (CAE) to ensure directional solidification, preventing defects like shrinkage and porosity in these heavy-section castings.

  2. Crucial Heat Treatment: All wear castings undergo precise, multi-stage heat treatment cycles (quenching, tempering, or annealing). This critical step develops the final microstructure and mechanical properties (hardness and toughness) required for optimal performance.

  3. Precision CNC Machining: The cast components are finish-machined on large-capacity CNC boring mills and vertical lathes. We machine all mating surfaces, bolt holes, and critical diameters to tight tolerances, guaranteeing a perfect fit during mill installation and relining.
