Product Description

The Challenge: Failure is Not an Option

In heavy industries like mining and cement, the heads of your grinding mills and the end covers of your rotary kilns are among the hardest working components. They operate under immense mechanical stress, thermal cycling, and constant abrasion. When these critical parts wear out or develop cracks, the result is always the same: costly, unplanned downtime.

Replacing a multi-ton end cover is a major undertaking. A poor fit leads to extended installation times, potential damage to bearings, and a risk of premature failure.

Our Solution: A Replacement Part Engineered for Reliability and a Perfect Fit

Yile Machinery manufactures custom replacement mill heads, kiln end covers, and dryer heads designed not just to replace the original, but to ensure long-term reliability. Our entire manufacturing process is engineered to eliminate installation problems and extend the service life of your equipment.

1. Fabrication Integrity & Certified Welding

We begin with certified, high-quality steel plates. Our expert welders, following precise procedures, fabricate the raw structure. All critical load-bearing welds are inspected using Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods like Ultrasonic (UT) or Magnetic Particle (MT) testing to guarantee they are 100% free of defects.

2. The Critical Step: Post-Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT)

This is what separates a reliable component from one destined to fail. The entire fabricated head is placed in our large furnace for Post-Weld Heat Treatment (Stress Relieving) . This process normalizes the steel, removing all internal stresses from welding.

  • Benefit: It ensures dimensional stability for machining and prevents stress-corrosion cracking during operation. We never skip this step.

3. Large-Format Precision Machining

After stress relieving, the stabilized component is machined on our large Vertical Turret Lathes (VTL) or Horizontal Boring Mills. We machine all critical interfaces to tight tolerances:

  • The mounting flange for a perfect seal against the shell.

  • The trunnion journal for precise bearing alignment.

  • The bolt hole patterns for "bolt-on-ready" installation.
