The performance of a track shoe is defined by its material. We use High Manganese Austenitic Steel (such as ASTM A128 / Hadfield Steel) , the industry standard for severe impact and wear applications.
This remarkable material has a unique property: work-hardening.
In its initial state, the steel is relatively soft and easy to machine at the mounting points.
Under repeated impact and pressure from moving over rock and earth, the surface hardens dramatically, creating an incredibly tough, wear-resistant layer.
The underlying steel remains ductile and tough, preventing the track shoe from cracking under extreme loads.
This self-renewing hardness means our track shoes last longer, reducing downtime and lowering your cost per ton.
Optimized Casting: We utilize advanced casting techniques to produce track shoes with a sound internal structure, free from defects like porosity or shrinkage that could lead to premature failure.
Specialized Heat Treatment: After casting, each track shoe undergoes a precise water quenching heat treatment. This critical step ensures the correct austenitic microstructure, maximizing the material's toughness and work-hardening potential.
