Product Description

Yile Machinery is a trusted wholesale supplier of high-quality alloy steel seamless pipes. Manufactured to rigorous standards like GB/T 3077, these pipes are designed for demanding mechanical and structural applications where high strength, toughness, and wear resistance are required.

Our seamless construction ensures superior pressure handling and uniform strength, making them the ideal raw material for manufacturing high-performance industrial components.

Common Alloy Steel Grades We Supply

We offer a range of alloy structural steels, primarily used in a quenched and tempered condition for enhanced mechanical properties. Our main grades include:

Grade (GB)

International Equivalent (Approx.)

Key Characteristics & Applications

20Cr

AISI 5120 / DIN 1.7027

Low-carbon alloy steel. Excellent for carburizing to create a hard, wear-resistant surface with a tough core. Used for gears, piston pins, and shafts.

40Cr

AISI 5140 / DIN 1.7035

Medium-carbon alloy steel. Good overall strength and toughness after quenching and tempering. Used for axles, connecting rods, and machine tool spindles.

42CrMo

AISI 4140 / DIN 1.7225

A highly versatile and popular chromium-molybdenum steel. Offers an excellent combination of high strength, toughness, and fatigue resistance. Used for high-stress parts like drive shafts, high-pressure cylinders, and large gears.

Manufacturing Methods: Hot Rolled vs. Cold Drawn

We can supply alloy steel pipes in two primary conditions to suit your specific needs:

  • Hot Rolled Seamless (HRS) Pipe:

    • Produced at high temperatures, resulting in a pipe with a scaled surface finish.

    • Cost-effective choice for applications where precise dimensions and surface finish are less critical.

    • Typically available in larger diameters and wall thicknesses.

  • Cold Drawn Seamless (CDS) Tube:

    • A hot-rolled pipe is further processed at room temperature by drawing it through a die.

    • Results in a smooth surface finish and tighter dimensional tolerances.

    • Increases the material's hardness and tensile strength. Ideal for precision machining.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Seamless Construction: No welds or joints, providing superior structural integrity and resistance to high pressure and torsional stress.

  • High Strength-to-Weight Ratio: Alloy steel provides exceptional performance without adding unnecessary weight.

  • Excellent Hardenability: These grades respond extremely well to heat treatment (quenching and tempering) to achieve specific hardness and strength levels.

  • Superior Machinability: Ideal raw material for CNC turning, milling, and grinding into finished components.

Industrial Applications

Our alloy steel seamless pipes are the starting point for countless industrial components, including:

  • Hydraulic Cylinder Barrels and Rods

  • Drive Shafts and Axles

  • Drill Pipes and Collars for Oil & Gas

  • Machine Tool Spindles

  • High-Strength Rollers and Bushings

  • Automotive and Motorsport Components
