Product Description

The Problem: Controlling Kiln Axial Thrust

A rotary kiln is a massive, dynamic system. Due to its slight downward slope, the entire kiln body is constantly subjected to immense axial thrust, causing it to "walk" or drift downhill. Uncontrolled, this movement will cause devastating damage to the support roller faces, the kiln tyres (riding rings), and the main drive's girth gear.

The Hydraulic Thrust Roller Assembly is the critical device that counteracts this force, ensuring the kiln remains in its precise, stable axial position.

Our Engineered Solution for Kiln Stability and Protection

Yile Machinery engineers and manufactures complete, robust Hydraulic Thrust Roller Assemblies designed to withstand the harshest industrial environments. Our solution is a complete, bolt-on system designed for reliability and precise control.

Key Components of Our Assembly:

  • The Thrust Roller:

    • The heart of the system. We use high-strength forged steel (e.g., 42CrMo) which is then heat-treated (quenched and tempered) for superior core strength and wear resistance.

    • The roller's contact surface is induction hardened to handle the immense pressure from the kiln tyre.

  • The Support Frame & Housing:

    • A heavy-duty, fabricated steel frame designed to absorb the full axial load of the kiln.

    • The frame undergoes Post-Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) / Stress Relieving to ensure its dimensional stability and prevent cracking under load.

  • The Hydraulic System:

    • Includes high-pressure hydraulic cylinders, a dedicated Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) , and a control system.

    • The system provides precise, adjustable counter-pressure to gently guide the kiln, preventing a "hard stop" and minimizing stress on the kiln tyre.

OEM Replacement & Reverse Engineering

Many existing hydraulic thrust devices in older plants are worn out or inefficient. We specialize in providing direct, drop-in replacements for any OEM model.

No drawings? No problem. We can reverse-engineer your existing worn-out assembly. Our team will measure the critical dimensions of your roller, frame, and mounting points to manufacture a new assembly that fits perfectly into your existing foundation, dramatically simplifying the replacement process.
