Material Selection & Forging: We use specialized, clean gear steels like 20CrMnTi and 42CrMo. The material is forged to create an integral pinion shaft with an ideal grain flow for maximum toughness and fatigue resistance.
CNC Machining & Gear Cutting: The forged blanks are rough and finish-turned. The spiral gear teeth are then cut using advanced 5-axis CNC gear milling or hobbing machines for exceptional accuracy.
Specialized Heat Treatment (Carburizing): This is the key to a durable gear. The components are heat-treated in a carbon-rich atmosphere. This creates an extremely hard (58-62 HRC) outer case for wear resistance, while the core of the gear remains softer and tougher to absorb shock loads without fracturing.
Precision Hard Finishing (Grinding & Lapping):
Gear Grinding: After heat treatment, the tooth profile is precision ground to correct any minor distortions and achieve the final, highly accurate geometry.
Lapping (Matched Sets): The pinion shaft and its mating ring gear are run together in a specialized machine with an abrasive compound. This "mates" the two parts, creating a perfect tooth contact pattern and an ultra-smooth surface finish.
