The Ductile Iron Advantage for Industrial Wheels

Ductile Iron (also known as Nodular Cast Iron) is not the same as brittle, standard gray cast iron. Its unique metallurgical structure, which contains graphite in spherical nodules, gives it "ductility"—the ability to deform under stress without fracturing.

  2. Casting & Heat Treatment: Our foundry process ensures a sound, defect-free casting. Wheels can undergo specialized heat treatments, such as surface induction hardening, to achieve a specific tread hardness (e.g., HRC 45-55) for maximum durability.

  3. Precision CNC Machining: After casting, each wheel is precision machined to your exact dimensions, ensuring perfect concentricity, a smooth tread surface, and accurate bore/keyway specifications.

  4. Rigorous Testing: Quality is guaranteed through a series of checks, including:

    • Dimensional inspection

    • Hardness testing

    • Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) like Ultrasonic (UT) or Magnetic Particle (MT) to ensure internal integrity.
