Product Description

In any conveyor system, the pulley is the heart of the operation. It drives the belt, maintains tension, and guides the system. A pulley failure means immediate, system-wide shutdown, resulting in lost production and expensive repairs.

Yile Machinery engineers and manufactures heavy-duty conveyor pulleys that are built to withstand the toughest conditions in mining, aggregate, cement, and other bulk material handling industries. Our pulleys are designed for maximum reliability and extended service life, ensuring your operations keep running.

Robust Construction for Maximum Uptime

Our conveyor pulleys are fabricated from high-quality steel, not cast iron, to provide the superior strength and durability required for high-tension applications.

  • Fabricated Steel Drum (Shell): The pulley shell is made from rolled steel plate and joined with professional-grade submerged arc welding (SAW) for a strong, flawless seam.

  • Reinforced End Discs: The end discs are precision-cut and welded to the shell and hub, providing exceptional resistance to the forces exerted by the shaft.

  • Post-Weld Stress Relieving: For critical applications, our pulleys undergo a post-weld heat treatment process to relieve internal stresses, significantly increasing fatigue life and preventing cracks.

  • Static Balancing: Every pulley is statically balanced to ensure smooth rotation, which reduces vibration and extends the life of both the bearings and the conveyor structure.

High-Traction Pulley Lagging for Optimal Performance

Proper lagging is essential for transferring power from the drive pulley to the belt and protecting your components. We offer a range of high-quality lagging options vulcanized directly to the pulley shell for a permanent bond.

1.Rubber Lagging (Diamond or Herringbone Groove):

The most common choice, grooved rubber lagging increases the coefficient of friction, improves traction in wet conditions, and helps shed water and debris, which reduces belt slippage and wear.

2.Ceramic Lagging:

For the most demanding applications with high tension and wet, slippery conditions, ceramic lagging offers the ultimate solution. High-alumina ceramic tiles embedded in rubber provide the highest possible friction coefficient and exceptional wear resistance, dramatically increasing drive efficiency and service life.

The Right Pulley for Every Conveyor Position

We manufacture a complete range of pulleys, custom-built for their specific role in your conveyor system:

  • Drive (Head) Pulleys: The heaviest-duty pulley, engineered to transmit motor power and drive the belt. Almost always lagged.

  • Tail Pulleys: Located at the opposite end of the conveyor, often incorporating tensioning devices.

  • Snub Pulleys: Increase the wrap angle of the belt around the drive pulley for better traction.

  • Bend Pulleys: Used to change the direction of the conveyor belt.

  • Take-Up Pulleys: Part of the take-up system used to maintain proper belt tension.
