2. Precision CNC Machining

The forged shaft is precision machined to exact specifications. Our large-capacity CNC lathes and milling machines create all critical features with exceptional accuracy:

  • Propeller Taper: Machined and lapped for a perfect blue-fit with the propeller hub.

  • Bearing Journals: Ground to a fine surface finish for long bearing life.

  • Flanges: Machined for perfect alignment with mating shafts or the gearbox coupling.

3. Rigorous Quality Control

Every shaft undergoes comprehensive non-destructive testing (NDT) to guarantee its integrity:

  • Ultrasonic Testing (UT): To ensure the forging is free from any internal defects.

  • Magnetic Particle Inspection (MT): To verify the surface is free of cracks.

  • Dimensional Inspection: A full dimensional report is generated to confirm all measurements are within tolerance.
