The support roller, also known as a trunnion roller, is one of the most critical components in a rotary kiln or dryer system. Arranged in pairs, these massive rollers bear the entire weight of the rotating kiln shell, its refractory lining, and the material being processed. Manufacturing Process for Unmatched Reliability

Advanced Steel Casting: Each roller is produced as a monolithic (single-piece) casting using high-strength carbon or alloy steels such as ZG55 and ZG42CrMo. We utilize advanced simulation software to optimize the casting process, ensuring the final product is free from internal defects like porosity and shrinkage.
Specialized Heat Treatment: After casting, the rollers undergo a crucial heat treatment process, typically Normalizing and Tempering. This refines the steel's grain structure, relieves internal stresses from the casting process, and achieves a uniform microstructure with the ideal balance of hardness (for wear resistance) and toughness (to prevent fracture).
Precision Machining: The heat-treated roller casting is finished on large-scale vertical lathes and boring mills. We machine the roller face to a high degree of surface finish and dimensional accuracy, ensuring smooth contact with the kiln tyre (riding ring) and minimizing wear on both components. Bores for shafts and bearings are also machined to precise tolerances.
