Precision Investment Casting Services (Lost-Wax Casting)
Product Description
Yile Machinery is a premier provider of custom investment casting services. Using the lost-wax method, we produce complex, high-precision, near-net-shape metal parts for a wide range of industrial applications.
This process is ideal for creating intricate components that are difficult or cost-prohibitive to produce with other manufacturing methods like machining or fabrication.
The Investment Casting Advantage
Investment casting offers a unique combination of design freedom, precision, and material choice, making it a superior option for many components.
1.Complex Geometries:
Achieve intricate shapes, internal features, thin walls, and undercuts that are impossible to machine from solid stock.
2.Superior Surface Finish:
The ceramic shell creates a much smoother surface finish (e.g., Ra 6.3 - 12.5μm) compared to sand casting, reducing the need for secondary polishing or finishing operations.
3.High Dimensional Accuracy:
Investment casting delivers tight tolerances, minimizing the amount of required post-machining and ensuring part-to-part consistency.
4.Wide Material Selection:
The process is suitable for a vast range of ferrous and non-ferrous alloys, allowing you to select the perfect material for your application's strength, corrosion resistance, and temperature requirements.
Our Turnkey Casting & Machining Process
We provide a complete manufacturing solution, from initial tooling to the finished, ready-to-use part.
Step 1: Tooling & Wax Injection: We create a high-precision aluminum mold and inject wax to produce an exact replica of your part.
Step 2: Ceramic Shell Assembly: The wax patterns are assembled onto a "tree" and dipped repeatedly in a ceramic slurry, building a robust shell.
Step 3: Dewaxing & Pouring: The ceramic shell is heated in an autoclave, melting out the wax (hence "lost wax"). Molten metal is then poured into the hollow cavity.
Step 4: Finishing & Machining: After cooling, the ceramic shell is broken away. The parts are cut from the tree and finished. If required, critical features are then machined to final tolerances using our CNC centers.
