Heavy-Duty Cast Iron Fan Housings & Casings
Product Description
Yile Machinery specializes in the production of robust cast iron fan housings, casings, and bodies for heavy industrial applications. Engineered to operate reliably in the most abrasive and high-temperature environments, our castings are the ideal choice for critical equipment in cement mills, mining operations, and bulk material handling systems.
We provide custom casting solutions based on your specific drawings and technical requirements, delivering components with exceptional durability and structural integrity.
The Sand Casting Process for Maximum Durability
We utilize the proven method of sand casting to produce large and complex fan housings. This process is perfectly suited for creating thick-walled, heavy-duty parts that can withstand constant vibration and abrasive wear.
Pattern Making: Based on your 3D model or 2D drawing, we create a precise pattern (mold template) for the fan housing.
Molding & Casting: The pattern is used to create a cavity in a sand mold. Molten iron is then poured into the mold and allowed to cool and solidify, forming the raw casting.
Finishing & Machining: After cooling, the raw casting is removed from the sand, cleaned (shot-blasted), and prepared for any required secondary operations like precision machining of flange faces or mounting points.
Material Selection for Industrial Environments
The choice of material is critical for performance and service life. We commonly work with two primary grades of cast iron:
Material Grade | Characteristics & Best Use |
Gray Cast Iron (HT250 / GG25) | Offers excellent vibration damping, high compressive strength, and good thermal conductivity. The most common and cost-effective choice for fan housings. |
Ductile Cast Iron (QT500-7 / GGG50) | Provides superior tensile strength and impact resistance compared to gray iron. Used for applications with higher pressure or risk of mechanical shock. |
We can pour castings from a variety of certified iron grades to meet your specific engineering demands.
Key Features & Applications
Custom Production: Manufactured to your exact specifications and drawings.
Extreme Durability: Designed to resist abrasion from dust (cement, clinker, ore) and high temperatures.
Vibration Damping: The inherent properties of cast iron help absorb operational vibrations, protecting bearings and motors.
Cost-Effective for Large Parts: Sand casting is an economical method for producing large, heavy, and complex components.
Primary Industries:
Cement Production (Kiln Fans, Mill Fans)
Mining and Mineral Processing
Power Generation (Boiler Fans, Flue Gas Systems)
Steel Mills & Foundries
Wastewater Treatment
