Superior Material Selection & Forging
We begin with high-grade forged alloy steel, such as 42CrMo (4140) , 35CrMo, or other customer-specified materials. The forging process creates a refined grain structure that is significantly stronger and more resistant to shock loads and fatigue than cast or bar stock alternatives.
Advanced Heat Treatment
The forged blank undergoes a multi-stage heat treatment process. This typically includes Quenching & Tempering to achieve high core strength and toughness, followed by Induction Hardening or Carburizing on the gear teeth to create an extremely hard, wear-resistant surface.
Precision Gear Machining & Grinding
Using advanced CNC gear hobbing and gear grinding machines, we cut the gear teeth to a high degree of precision (e.g., AGMA Class 10-12 or equivalent DIN/ISO standards). This ensures a perfect tooth profile for smooth, quiet meshing with the girth gear, reducing vibration and extending the life of the entire drive train.
