How It Works
The torque limiter is installed between the driving element (e.g., motor) and the driven element (e.g., gearbox or sprocket).
Normal Operation: A set of disc springs applies pressure to friction plates, creating a rigid connection that transmits torque from the input hub to the output flange.
Overload Event: If the driven machinery jams, the torque demand spikes. When this torque exceeds the preset spring pressure, the friction plates overcome their static friction and begin to slip.
