Premium Forged Alloy Steel: We use high-strength forged alloy steels like 42CrMo (AISI 4140) . The forging process aligns the steel's grain structure, providing superior impact strength and fatigue resistance compared to casting or plate steel.
Hardened Rope Grooves: The single most important factor for sheave and wire rope life is the groove hardness. Our sheaves undergo a specialized induction hardening process on the rope groove to achieve a deep, wear-resistant surface (typically 50-55 HRC). This prevents groove corrugation and dramatically extends the life of your expensive drilling line.
Designed for API Spec 8C Compliance: Our sheaves are engineered to meet or exceed the design and material requirements outlined in API Specification 8C for Drilling and Production Hoisting Equipment.
Rigorous NDT Inspection: Every critical sheave is subjected to comprehensive Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) , including Ultrasonic Testing (UT) to ensure internal soundness and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) to verify a defect-free surface.
