The FCL coupling consists of two main components:

  1. Two Cast Iron Flanges: One flange is fitted with a series of drive pins. The other flange has a corresponding series of holes.

  2. Flexible Rubber Bushes: Each drive pin is fitted with a durable rubber bush. When the coupling is assembled, these bushes fit into the holes of the opposing flange.

Torque is transmitted through the pins, but the flexible rubber bushes act as a cushion. This simple mechanism is what gives the pin and bush coupling its key advantages.
