Unlike casting or cutting from bar stock, our open-die forging process delivers unparalleled metallurgical properties.
Heating & Forging: A solid steel billet is heated to a precise forging temperature (approx. 1200°C). It is then shaped between flat dies in a hydraulic press, which applies immense, controlled pressure.
Improved Grain Structure: This process does not simply shape the metal; it refines and directs the internal grain flow. This eliminates internal voids and creates a continuous grain structure that follows the contour of the gear blank, resulting in superior mechanical properties.

Normalized or Heat-Treated: Forgings can be heat-treated (normalized, quenched, tempered) to achieve specific mechanical properties.
Rough Machined (Proof Machined): We can perform initial machining to bring the blank closer to its final dimensions, saving you valuable time and machining capacity.
